Has Approved The Largest Offshore Wind Project, In The US, As Part Of Its Goal To Tackle Climate Change By Harnessing Enough Clean Renewable Energy To Power 400,000 Massachusetts Homes Every Year. The $2.8 B Project, known as Vineyard Wind 1, Comprising 62 Turbines, Is Expected To Begin In 2020, And Will Supply Clean Energy By 2023.
Major Offshore Wind Project Sets Stage For Clean Energy Shift : NPRA wind farm off Martha’s Vineyard will produce enough power for 400,000 homes. It’s the first of a dozen such projects in the works that are set to shift the clean energy landscape dramatically.
